NESP

The 6-year, $142 million National Environmental Science Programme (NESP) is being delivered through six research hubs, to assist decision-makers understand, manage and conserve Australia’s environment through world-class biodiversity and climate science. The NESP Earth Systems and Climate Change Hub aims to build national capacity to understand and predict climate trends, variability and extremes in Australia, and their broad implications for the environment and society. The Hub is a partnership between the Bureau, CSIRO and universities in the Australian Research Council’s Centre of Excellence for Climate Systems Science.
