Past GSFC daily Southern Hemisphere sea ice area anomaly plots

About these plots:

These plots are based on anomalys from climatology of daily total Southern Hemisphere sea ice area for 12 month periods. Climatology is based on the period 1979-2006. Grey banding represents the extent of daily historical values for the period 1979-2006.

Data are from the National Snow and Ice Data Center and are based on concentrations from Nimbus-7 SMMR and DMSP SSM/I Passive Microwave Data.
